Ein Soldat stiess Jesus den Speer in die Seite. Blut und Wasser floss heraus, was den Tod bestätigte. Ein Pharisäer, der an Jesus glaubte, bekam von Pilatus die Erlaubnis, den Leichnam in sein neues Grab zu legen. Nach der Einbalsamierung wälzte man einen grossen Stein vor das Grab und versiegelte den Eingang, welcher von Soldaten bewacht wurde.
Unter den Nachfolgern von Jesus herrschte tiefe Trauer, Angst und Panik. Eine von ihnen, Maria Magdalena, ging früh am Morgen zum Grab und sah, dass der Stein weggewälzt war. Sie dachte, es hätte jemand die Leiche gestohlen. Plötzlich stand Jesus vor ihr und sprach sie in ihrer Traurigkeit an. Völlig verändert lief sie zu den Jüngern: «Jesus ist auferstanden, wie er es vorhergesagt hat.» Sofort rannten Petrus und Johannes zum Grab und alles war genauso, wie es Maria erzählte. Ein Gefühl gemischt von Freude, Hoffnung und Zweifel machte sich unter ihnen breit, bis plötzlich Jesus auftauchte und mit ihnen sprach. Thomas war nicht dabei und sagte zweifelnd: «Ich glaube erst, wenn ich meine Finger in seine Wunden legen kann.» Wieder stand Jesus mitten unter ihnen und forderte Thomas auf, ihn zu berühren und er glaubte.
Die Engel sagten zu den Frauen: «Was sucht ihr den Lebenden bei den Toten? Er ist nicht hier; Gott hat ihn vom Tod auferweckt!»
Lukas 24, 5b-6a
Ein weiteres Mal begegnete er den Jüngern beim Fischen. Die Fische hatte er bereits auf dem Feuer vorbereitet. Er ass mit ihnen und demonstrierte so: – Hallo Leute ich lebe wirklich! Die Auferstehung ist der ultimative Beweis, dass Jesus der verheissene Gottes Sohn ist! Er blieb seiner Berufung treu und seinem Vater gehorsam.
Deshalb ist Jesus der einzige Weg zum ewigen Leben. Wer ihm vertraut, darf wissen, dass er gerettet ist und Anteil am Reich Gottes hat. Jesus ist der König des Lebens. Er kam zuerst als Diener und Retter in die Welt, bevor er als König und Richter zum Finale wieder kommen wird.

Luke 24,5b-6a
Amongst the disciples there was grief, fear and panic. One of them, Mary Magdalene, went to the grave early in the morning and saw that the stone was moved. She thought that someone had stolen the body. Suddenly, Jesus stood in front of her and spoke to her in her sadness. Totally changed, she went to the disciples: “Jesus is risen like he had said.” Immediately, Peter and John ran to the grave and everything was exactly as Maria had said. A feeling of happiness, hope and doubt arose until Jesus suddenly appeared and spoke to them. Thomas wasn’t with them and said doubtfully: “I will believe when I can put my hands in his side.” Again, Jesus stood among them and asked Tomas to touch him and he believed.
Another time, he encountered the disciples when fishing. He had prepared fish on the fire. He ate with them and demonstrated: Hey folks, I truly live! The resurrection is the ultimate proof that Jesus is the promised Son of God! He stuck to his mission and obeyed the Father.
Therefore, Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Those who trust him know that they are delivered and that they have part in the Kingdom of God. Jesus is the King of Life. He first came as a servant and salvation to this world before he will return as king and judge for the final.
“Come down from the cross if you are truly the Son of God.” In this fashion they wanted to outdo each other with their remarks. The evil seemed to win in that moment. The response of the hurting Jesus was: “Father, forgive them since they do not know what they do.” One, who was crucified with him, asked: “Think of me when you go to your Kingdom.” Jesus responded: “Today, you will be in Paradise.” He asked his disciple John: “Take care of my mother.”
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.

Would you care about your neighbor in unbearable pain in the midst of struggles of death? Why was Jesus able to?
His last words, “It is finished!” show his love for his Father and his obedience to the mission! His blood was the price for reconciliation between us and God. The loud scream of death in the darkness turned into an echo through the resurrection on Easter. The light of the world continues to shine and the hope of life took the power of death.
When the earth trembled and the curtain in the temple near the Holiest of Holy ripped from top to bottom, the Son of God opened the way between man and God. Everyone who trusts Jesus as the lamb-sacrifice will have forgiveness. In Jesus, the love of God reaches out its hand for reconciliation.
The officer who encountered it all said: “He was truly the Son of God!”
Like back then, you risk to be seen as old fashioned or simply uneducated if you trust Jesus.
«Komm doch vom Kreuz herunter, wenn du wirklich Gottes Sohn bist.» So wollte einer den andern mit gemeinen Äusserungen übertrumpfen. Das Böse schien in diesem Moment zu siegen. Die Antwort des schmerzgezeichneten Jesus war:
«Vater vergib ihnen! Sie wissen nicht, was sie tun.»

Einer, der mit ihm gekreuzigt wurde, bat ihn: «Denke doch an mich, wenn du in dein Reich kommst.» Darauf antwortete Jesus: «Noch heute wirst du mit mir im Paradiese sein!» Seinen Jünger Johannes bat er: «Kümmere dich um meine Mutter.»
Würden Sie sich auch um Ihre Nächsten sorgen bei unerträglichen Schmerzen und mitten im Todeskampf? Warum konnte es Jesus?
Seine letzten Worte: «Es ist vollbracht!» zeigen seine Liebe zum Vater und seinen Gehorsam zum Auftrag! Sein Blut war der Preis zur Versöhnung von uns Menschen mit Gott. Der laute Sterbensschrei in die Finsternis hinaus bekam durch die Auferstehung an Ostern ein unüberhörbares Echo! – Das Licht der Welt scheint weiter, und die Hoffnung des Lebens hat dem Tod die Macht entrissen.
Als die Erde bebte und der Vorhang im Tempel zum Allerheiligsten von oben bis unten zerriss, stellte der Gottes Sohn den Zugang von uns Menschen zu Gott wieder her. Allen die Jesus, dem «Opferlamm» vertrauen, wird Vergebung geschenkt. Die Liebe Gottes streckt allen in Jesus die Hand zur Versöhnung entgegen!
Der Offizier, der alles miterlebte, sagte: «Dieser war wirklich Gottes Sohn!»
Wie damals riskiert man auch heute als altbacken oder schlicht ungebildet dazustehen, wenn man Jesus vertraut.

Out of the darkness appears Judas with some soldiers. He greeted Jesus with a kiss and with that identified him. They arrested him and took him to court. The disciples were scared and fled. Only Peter stayed in safe distance and observed everything. False witnesses accused the Son of God severely but they couldn’t prove any wrongdoing.
The Roman governor Pontius Pilatus knew relatively quickly that jealousy and greed were the true drivers for this mock trial initiated by the religious instigators. Just days before they were shouting: “Hosanna to the King who is coming.” and now the upset and manipulated people scream: “Crucify him!” How easily the mood can change.
Pilatus gave in to the pressure by the masses. He washed his hands in innocence, liberated the thief Barabas and crucified Jesus. First they flogged him, put a crown of thorns on his head to mock him and chased him, with a cross, through the streets of Jerusalem to Golgotha. There they wanted to silence the King of Jews forever. The Light of the World was to be extinguished and the hope should die on the cross. Once again, the religious elite did not count with God.
“Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.”
Luke 23:22
Jesus will return as king just like he said. At that point everyone will bow before him and recognize him as the King, even those who pierced him!

Aus der Finsternis tauchte der Jünger Judas mit einigen Soldaten auf. Er begrüsste Jesus mit einem Kuss und verriet ihn so. Dann nahmen sie ihn fest und schleppten ihn vor Gericht. Die Jünger bekamen Angst und flohen. Nur der Jünger Petrus hielt sich in sicherer Distanz auf und beobachtete alles. Falsche Zeugen beschuldigten den Gottes Sohn schwer, doch ihm konnte kein Unrecht vorgewiesen werden.
Dem römischen Statthalter Pontius Pilatus war schnell klar, dass Eifersucht und Neid der wahre Grund für diesen «Schein-Prozess» der religiösen Drahtzieher war. Tage zuvor tönte es noch: «Hosianna dem König, der da kommt.» Nun rief das aufgewiegelte und manipulierte Volk: «Kreuzigt ihn!» Wie leicht doch die Stimmung kippen kann.
Pilatus liess sich vom Drängen der Masse erweichen. Er wusch seine Hände in Unschuld, befreite den Räuber Barabas und liess Jesus kreuzigen. Zuerst peitschten sie ihn aus, setzten ihm spöttisch eine Dornenkrone auf und trieben ihn mit dem Kreuz durch Jerusalems Gassen bis zum Hügel Golgatha. Dort wollte man den König der Juden am Kreuz endgültig zum Schweigen bringen. Das Licht der Welt sollte ausgelöscht und die Hoffnung des Lebens am Kreuz sterben. Die fromme Elite machte einmal mehr die Rechnung ohne Gott.
Pilatus versuchte es ein drittes Mal und sagte zu ihnen: «Was hat er denn verbrochen? Ich habe bei ihm kein Vergehen entdeckt, auf das die Todesstrafe steht.»

Jesus wird als König wieder kommen, wie er es gesagt hat. Dann werden sich alle vor ihm beugen und als König anerkennen müssen, auch die, die ihn durchbohrt haben! Darf Jesus Ihr König sein?
