What Are You Looking For?
02. January. 22

The delicious honey on my toast is owed to a bunch of busy bees. They go out, look for beautifully smelling flowers and collect nectar. At the same time, they pollinate the plant. A wonderful process full of life starts and beautiful fruit grows from it.

The circling vulture in a hot desert is a totally different picture. His defined sense of smell takes him to rotten meat! Brutally said, it is his destiny: All his life he is looking for corpses.

These two images couldn’t be more different.

During his life, every human is trying to satisfy his inner hunger. Are you doing it like the bee who is looking for fresh nectar and produces amazing honey? Or are you chasing after fleeting distractions that will never satisfy your hunger for life?

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.

Acts 17:27
